What belongs in a utility adjustment annex

Utilities process hundreds of accounts. A clear annex shortens the conversation because it points to specific statement lines instead of a general complaint that “the bill feels high.”

Useful annex contents

  1. Copies of the affected statements with the contested lines highlighted
  2. A table of meter serials and multipliers
  3. Interval or log extracts covering the peak window, if demand is contested
  4. A one-page chronology of commissioning, outages, or temporary loads
  5. A neutral summary of the arithmetic mismatch — not a legal brief

What to leave out

Lengthy efficiency recommendations and unrelated CAPEX proposals dilute the request. Keep the annex about billing fidelity. Efficiency work can follow later under a different engagement with a different specialist.

EnergiComms Digital includes annex tables with the flagship audit findings memo; clients remain the ones who submit materials to the utility.
